We are proud to offer two different opportunities for local families to partner with Steuben County Habitat for Humanity. (Certain income criteria apply to our programs; please contact us here if you need more information.)
Our traditional program for building new homes or rehabilitating existing homes for partner families. Participants must be willing to take on an affordable mortgage, take courses on homeownership and financial literacy, and perform “sweat equity” by volunteering at the work site, the ReStore, and wherever needed (accommodations can be made in certain circumstances).
If you are interested in becoming a homeowner and are willing to partner in good faith with Steuben County Habitat for Humanity, please fill out our Application for Housing and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org, or mail it to:
Critical Repairs Program
