Volunteering with Habitat is fun!
Volunteering with Habitat is fun!

At Steuben County Habitat for Humanity, our volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. Without the generous support of the people of our community, we would never be able to build homes, community, and hope locally. In 2016, Habitat volunteers put in a total of approximately 8,190 hours: 3,810 hours on the construction site, and 4,380 hours at the ReStore. That’s the equivalent of $130,950 of labour donated!

There are many different reasons our volunteers give their time to Habitat:
Learn and develop new skills
Give back to your community
Meet new people
Gain a sense of purpose
Keep busy after retirement
Looks great on a resume or college application
Helps put deserving families in homes

Just to have fun while helping others!

We have many volunteer opportunities available for you to choose from; you don’t have to swing a hammer to help Habitat for Humanity! Click here to see our current offerings. You can also contact us at volunteer@habitatcorning.org

All volunteers must complete and sign a waiver before beginning with Habitat for Humanity or the ReStore; additionally, groups of five or more looking for volunteer opportunities should fill out an Interest form so that we can best meet your needs:
